Bannockburn Sluicings,

Central Otago, New Zealand

The small village where miner’s used to live while sluicing. I was taken aback at how peaceful this place was. It reminded me of my childhood home on washington island in lake michigan which i loved with all my heart.

I took these photographs on the summer solstice in the southern hemisphere.

I Could have stayed forever basking in the last two hours of golden daylight with cotton tails and hawks for company.
