RANGE Opens May 29th, 2026
Kia ora friends and family,
I’m part of a group exhibition opening this May 29th at Eyes on Fire Gallery in Auckland as part of the 2026 Auckland Festival of Photography. I’ll be presenting work alongside ten others artists from all over Aotearoa + the UK working primarily with analog and alternative photographic processes.
My friend and the lovely artist Kate van der Drift brought the ten of us together in her newly created Art Photo School and for almost a year now I’ve been part of this lovely and talented group of artists working to bring together new work and finally our forthcoming show RANGE. You can see our press release here and if you’re on Instagram, you can see more from each artist about their work on our page @range.nz and more about @art.photo.school.
Ill be sharing more about my project Tessellations as the date of our exhibition approaches. If I saw you on my trip to the US in September last year, you might recognise the beginning stages of this project as the cyanotypes I was making on my visit to NYC, Chicago, Indiana and Los Angeles.
If you live in or near Auckland, I’d love for you to come along to our opening on May 29th at 6pm and / or to our artist discussion on Saturday the 30th at 11am on process in practice.
Until then, much love,
AMB
